I get your frustration, I to am a WW "ditcher" as well. The program does not work for everyone, and that is what the program leaders do not tell you. But maybe you can take some of the healthy eating tools that ww offers and apply it to how you approach food? For me yes it seems like if I even get a whiff of pizzia with everything I gain five pounds. Know what your "bad foods" are and make them unavailable in the house, or if you have to have it have it in small quanity, then go for a walk or do a fave workout video. My husband who loves me fat or thin, took the $$ that we would have spent on WW membership and put it towards a high quaility pice of work out equipment. I use my treadmill every other day and I try to eat healthy mainly whole grains fruits and veg with lean cuts of meat.

Also see your doctor and tell him of your strugle to loose weight and ask yourself some questions, are you always cold? tired? are your cycles irregular or slow to start? that coulud be a sign of thyroid disease. Also get checked for diabetis.

I'll check the board in a few days, keep the faith together we can do this

I know you can do it! I personally find that "counting" systems like weight watchers make me feel crazy. But I do know people who have had a lot of success with it.

Honey, I don't see a failure. A failure is when you don't care anymore. You still do. And since this is a journey, you just haven't reached the destination yet.

I'm going to keep reading because you inspire me and that's difficult for anyone to do.

Amen to starting over again. All that other stuff is now past. You are a new person. Changed by the year gone by and all the new things that you learned about the weight loss journed. Don't lose hope, you just took a break and it sounds like you learned from it

I understand though, I lost 40 lbs about 5-6 times. I finally joined WW and have lost 130lbs and kept if off for over a year now. you will do great. I believe in you.

Check our my before and after pics to see what's possible.

You can TOTALLY do this!

I am in the same boat as you and haven't lost much weight, if any, in the past year. That scale went up and down cuz I wasn't totally committed to changing things for myself.

But I'm back on track now and I'm seeing the weight come off. I have realized that emotional eating played a big part in keeping me overweight... I look to food to feel happiness... almost like a high.

I'm now on a quest to find other, healthier distractions that give me the same feeling.

Please don't give up... You are worth it!

Lynne,

Thank you for your support. We definitely can support each other through this process. I really need to get started soon, it's so hard during the holidays. I have a weakness for pecan pies, apple pies and pumpkin pies : )

Hi Jay! *waiving*

I found your blog on BlogCatalog, by way of Google. I am just getting started with the Weight Watchers program; I joined on Dec 6. I, too, have 100 pounds to lose (actually 133) and I am determined to get most of it off within one year. I definitely relate to how you feel and I'm happy to hear that you are not giving up. I look forward to reading you over the next year and you have my support.

Please hang in there, Jay. We can do this, sistah!
