Weight Watchers Falafel Recipe

wwrecipes-001

I love falafel and I usually have it on Pita bread. It is low in Weight Watchers points and is very filling. I made this weight wathers falafel recipe tonight for dinner and it was so yummy I wanted to share the recipe.

2 1/2 cans of garbazo beans

1 cup of chopped onions – I used my magic bullet here

3/4 cup of curly parsley  chopped

1 tablespoon cumin

3 teaspoon sea salt

1 egg

4 table spoons graham flour

Directions:

Grind the garbanzo beans in a blender or magic bullet

Remove the beans and add the parsley and onions and blend until mixture is finely minced (not puree)

Add the cumin and coriander to garbanzo mixture

Add the egg to the garbanzo beans

Combine all ingredients including the Graham flour in a mixing bowl. Let the mixture rest for about 1/2 hour to let the flavors combine.

In a large saucepan add enough oil to coat the pan.

Form patties with the garbanzo mixture and add to pan. Pan fry for until brown on both sides, about 5 minutes.

Please patties in a 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes to finish cooking. This weight watchers falafel recipe is very tasty and my husband loves it!

Note: You can find Graham Flour at your local health food store I usually get it from Whole foods.

2 patties- 9.5 WW points
