True Confession- I have been BANNED from the scale!

blogphoto

I cannot tell a lie. I have been working out every other day since training for the weight watchers walk it challenge and have also developed a slight obsession to the scale. So my hubby has banned me from weighing in this week! I know, pretty drastic!

Well the truth is it was making me very crazy weighing myself constantly and seeing the numbers go up and not down and this has somewhat made my work outs less effective. I know if you are like me and looking to lose weight you want to know that all the effort you are putting in is paying off.  When I notice that number not going in my favor, it was starting to upset me even though I knew I was doing all the right things. I am still following the weight watchers points program and working out.

So for this week there will be no video weigh in. I want to give my self a little break and concentrate on my training and my eating plan.

On a happier note, I am feeling terrific! I have more energy and I have a spring in my step, which is pretty big for me. Before this, I was a total couch potato for quite some time. So all in all, I am doing great!

I had to laugh…my husband literally threw my scale out for the same reason…I was completely obsessed and it was actually ruining my day…and I would imagine that I had increased several sizes in less than 24 hours- those numbers can play tricks on you- Good Luck and keep up the good work!

  4. Smart hubby! I know you’re doing great and inch loss is more important that weight loss so keep moving. That picture of you is gorgeous.

Hi Jay. I finally got some time to come and check out your site, and I’m glad you did. I love how you mix traditional blogging with the YouTube video blogs. Nicely done.

I totally agree with you about the fact that walking (and exercising in general) really does put a smile on my face and a new spring in my step.

    Keep it up!

I’m slightly addicted to my scale and probably could use your husband coming to take mine away. I have to tell you though that when I first started walking/running I was extremely frustrated because for about two weeks I wasn’t losing anything and even gained a bit. Then it kicked in and I was okay. Hang in there!!! You will eventually see the results.
