About Me
My name is Jay Becker, I created this blog to journal my weight loss of 100lbs doing the weight watchers program. I don’t know how I got to be 100lb over weight, well I guess I do….I ate. I am sick of being fat so I decided to take charge of my life and lose the weight. This is going to be the hardest thing I have ever done to date, I am really putting myself out there and I am a private person by nature. You can view my entire journey and listen to my podcast here. I will talk about issues related to weight loss and share stories about people who are battling these same issues, so feel free to drop me a line or words of encouragement. I can also be a great support for you too if you are looking to lose weight. We can do this together and make a commitment to live our best life!

Good for you Jay! I’ve lost about 80lbs and have anoter 25 to go so I’m right there with you! I understand how hard it is but keep moving forward, step-by-step, and don’t let any missteps deter you from the journey.
Best wishes,
Shannon
I am so excited for you!!! I have always been an overweight person up until the last couple of years when I finally decided to drop the weight. I will pray for you every step of the way and can’t wait to see your progress.
God bless and good luck

Nice to meet you, Jay. I just recently came across your blog so I look forward to following you on your journey. I’m not on Weight Watchers, just following my own thing (portion control, healthier food choices and exercise).
You CAN do it!
Hi Angie!
Thanks for the support : )
Hey Jay! Just checked out the site! Wonderful! Looking forward to your next podcast!
Thank Kate. I will be doing one real soon.
Hi Jay! I found you through the weight watchers site. I too am on “the journey”. I started November 2008. I too have 100 lbs to lose. Am down 35 to date. Just keep rolling! I walk 3.5 miles every morning before work and recently have added weight training 3-5 times per week in the afternoon. It is amazing how good it feels! I recently went on vacation (lots of pictures) I am flabbergasted how much my looks have changed. (apparently my mirrors still see me 35 lbs heavier) I think I need new mirrors!
Keep up the good work, I will check in on you again sometime. Good luck!!
Kathy from Arizona
Hi Kathy!
Thank you for sharing your story. Walking 3.5 miles each day is quite impressive and I applaud you for that. Working out does make me feel better so I totally agree with you. BTW Congrats on your weight loss!
Hi Jay! I found your podcast at iTunes and have listened to the last three podcasts. I enjoyed listening to them especially since your journey reminds me of …me! I have lost, gained, lost, gained, …well, you get the picture. What I have decided that this journey will naturally have its ups and downs, but the important thing to remember is that the general direction will eventually be down (or less?…whatever, you know what I mean). Keep up the good work! Congrads on your latest loss (of weight)!
Hi Marie,
Thanks for the encouragement, I know we can do this!
Good for you girl! You can do it!!
I just started Weight Watchers and am excited to be getting healthy.
I was about 80lbs over weight and in 7 months lost ONLY 15lbs. Good but not good! I know I could have done better!
I just started with WW after my m-i-l recently lost 25 lbs in 4 months… I know I can do this… I will follow your blog to keep me encouraged to!
Blessings, SuperMom
Good for you for joining WW. We can totally do this!!
Hi Jay.
I have to tell you that I am totally inspired by you.
Two years ago this past March I had major surgery. The day of the surgery, I weighed in at 172 at the hospital (I’m only 5′1″). I remember feeling just horrible laying there waiting for them to take me into surgery. Luckily I lost 10 pounds from the surgery and that was just the beginning of my new life! I proceeded on to get on the treadmill 3-5x a week and follow WW. I ended up getting to 140 and felt awesome.
I can’t tell you what happened but it could of been numerous things (stress, holidays, etc) but I’m sitting here today at 161 and feeling horrible again. However, I started downloading your podcasts and I love listening to them while I’m walking/jogging/running on the treadmill. I did 2 miles in 35 minutes this morning and feel great.
Thank you for all the encouraging words on your blog and podcasts. They help! Keep up the great work!
Take care,
Shirley
