How to use the Weight Watchers Points Calculator


I received an email question about using the Weight Watchers Points Calculator. So I wanted to give an example of how the calculator can be used. To use the calculator you will need to know the nutritional value of the foods you are eating. The nutritional value is located on the food product label. So you would basically enter the total calorie, fat and dietary fiber of the food. When eating out at restaurants it may be difficult to know the nutritional value, however most fast food restaurants will have a copy of their nutritional value on their website.

I had Wendy’s chili for lunch yesterday, so to get the points value for the Wendy’s chili I went to the Wendy’s website and this is what it looks like:

I entered the calorie, fat and diary fiber and got the points value.

Wendy’s Chili:

Calorie: 190

Fat:6gm

Dietary Fiber: 6 ( so the most you can enter is 4)

Total Points Value for Wendy’s Chili was 3.5, not bad for a filling lunch!

Weight Watchers 1 point Recipe-Dill Cucumbers on Rye Bread

8 oz fat free cream cheese

1 packet of Italian seasoning for Italian dressing

1 English cucumbers or regular cucumbers

weight watchers rye bread (Optional)

bunch of dill

cut bread in half

spread cream cheese mix on bread (light layer)

place thin slice of cucumber on bread on sprinkle dill over bread and cucumber

I love this summer recipe it is fresh and a great appetizer or healthy snack.

point value 1

4 halves serving size
