1. Choose low fat and fat free products

4. Buy brown rice instead of white rice

5. Buy whole wheat pasta instead of regular pasta made with white flour

These are just a few suggestions, making a better choice while food shopping will increase your chances in being successful in your weight loss journey.

My weight was a Shocker!

247.2lb

I know I needed to lose at least 100lb. But I was really surprised to hear my actual weight yesterday when I weighed in at weight watchers for the first time. It was a whopping 247.2lb. OK, this is the heaviest I have ever weighed.

Well it is time to get moving so I went to the super market and did my shopping for this week. My shopping cart never looked this good, mostly veggies and fruits and lean meats. I went through the snack lane and could barely resist it, but I kept on walking. I am determined to reach my goal.

Interview with My husband

I did an interview with my husband Fred, he has been really supportive through this entire process with me getting this set up and beginning my weight loss goal with weight watchers, I will be attending my first meeting today and will update you on that. I intend to do a new podcast each week about my entire experience with Weight Watchers. If you have a show idea you can email me at weightwatchersblogger(a)gmail.com. I will be glad to hear any of your ideas.

No More Manick Mondays….

Today is D-day. I am starting the weight watchers program and I am so excited. This day was long over due. I am not waiting for Monday anymore, that’s what got me in trouble in the first place. For as long as I can remember I have always made commitments of Monday to be the day I will start a diet. So every Sunday night I would prepare to start a new diet and then I would follow that diet for one day or two and end up self sabotaging my self, then I would commit to starting the following Monday instead. It drove me nuts. Then one Monday I got fed up and decided never to do it again. So I stopped dieting and now 10 years and 100lb later I can barely recognize myself in the mirror. It’s time for change, BIG time. I have done weight watchers in the past and it was the only diet plan that did not make me feel deprived. Weight Watchers thought me about portion control and healthy eating habits. I never should have stopped the program, but now I am older and a whole lot wiser so I know better and when you know better you should do better. So today I am back on weight watchers with 100lbs to go and this is my weight loss journey.
